Serenade op. 7   

(1883)

This work is the first of two Serenades that Glazunov composed in a two- year period between his 18^th and 19^th year.  These two Serenades are single-movement works, slight in nature and filled with charm and elegance.  The op. 7 Serenade was premiered in 1885 under the baton of the leader of “The Mighty Handful”, Balakirev.
